IMPORTANT! Read product Safety Data Sheet before handling any BG product.
- Insert applicator tube into cap. Attach cap to BG Frigi-Clean® can.
- Locate the blower assembly and A/C evaporator.
- Ensure the A/C and blower motor are turned off.
- Locate the A/C evaporator drain tube and make sure it is clear of debris so BG Frigi-Clean® can drain properly.
- Remove the necessary HVAC components to perform the service. To do this, remove the vehicle’s cabin air filter and feed the provided applicator tube close to the A/C evaporator. If the vehicle does not have a cabin air filter or if it cannot be reached, you may access the A/C evaporator by removal of the blower motor, temperature sensor, or A/C drain tube. NOTE: The applicator tube must be fed between the blower motor and the A/C evaporator. Failure to do this could result in component failure.
- Shake can of BG Frigi-Clean® vigorously before using. With the applicator tube as close to the A/C evaporator as possible, administer BG Frigi-Clean.® Depending on A/C evaporator location and HVAC module design you may not be able to discharge entire contents of the can. If this is the case, repeat the application process until the can is empty or desired results are achieved.
WARNING! Do not allow foam to back up into the fan as this can damage the fan motor.
- Reinstall previously removed HVAC components.
- Start vehicle and turn A/C to the maximum cold setting with the blower motor on the highest speed. Set to “outside air” mode instead of “recirculate” mode.
- Operate the blower motor on high in “outside air” mode until no cleaner is observed draining from the A/C evaporator drain tube.
For best results: Operate the blower motor on high in “outside air” mode for two minutes. Turn off the vehicle and allow A/C evaporator to soak in BG Frigi-Clean® foam for ten minutes. Restart vehicle and continue service until no cleaner is observed draining from the A/C evaporator drain tube.
- Leave the A/C in “outside air” mode and apply BG Frigi-Fresh,® PN 708, in the fresh air cowling. If that is not possible, set the A/C to “recirculate” mode and apply BG Frigi-Fresh® near the inlet of the HVAC module.
- Allow the vehicle to sit for 30 minutes before returning it to the customer.
